- Chicken pieces 1.5 kg
- White flour 5 tbsp
- Vegetable oil 3 tbsp
- Garlic cloves 2
- Onions 2
- Green pepper 1
- Celery 50 g
- Curry powder 1 tbsp
- Salt 2 tsp
- Canned peeled tomatoes 800 g
- Butter 1 knob
- Blanched almonds 50 g
- Long-grain rice 225 g
- Seedless raisins 75 g
- Chopped parsley

Instructions
- Coat the chicken pieces in flour. Heat the oil in a large pan and brown the chicken on all sides, a few pieces at a time. Set aside.
- Add garlic, onion, green pepper, celery, curry powder and salt to the pan; cook for 5 minutes, stirring.
- Stir in the tomatoes with their juices.
- Return the chicken to the pan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes, until tender.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in a frying pan and lightly toast the almonds until just golden.
- Mix the hot cooked rice with the raisins and toasted almonds.
- Arrange the rice mixture and chicken on a warmed serving platter. Remove the garlic cloves, spoon the sauce over the chicken.
- Finish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
