Ingredients

  • Whole chicken 1.2 kg
  • Large onions 4
  • Apples 2
  • Butter 100 g
  • Tomato paste 20 g
  • Curry powder 20 g
  • Coconut milk 3 tbsp
  • Cream 150 ml
  • Lemon juice 1/2
  • Bay leaf 1 pinch
  • Thyme 1 pinch
  • Cinnamon stick 1 small piece
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the chicken, then cut it into pieces.
  2. Melt the butter in a casserole, add sliced onions, apples and cinnamon, and cook gently until golden.
  3. Add the chicken and brown evenly on all sides.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, thyme and bay leaf, then continue cooking.
  5. Add curry and tomato paste diluted with coconut milk and cook over medium heat.
  6. Finish with cream and lemon juice, remove the cinnamon and serve hot with Indian rice.
