The Heart Cake is a light and romantic dessert made with puff pastry, fresh strawberries and whipped cream, perfect for celebrating special moments with elegance.

Ingredients

  • Frozen puff pastry 1 pack
  • Fresh strawberries 500 g
  • Fresh whipping cream 250 g
  • Granulated sugar 20 g
  • Powdered sugar 2 teaspoons
  • Vanilla sachet 1

  • Baking tray
  • Blender
  • Bowl
  • Electric whisk
  • Pastry bag

Instructions

  1. Defrost and roll out the puff pastry thinly.
  2. Cut out two heart shapes using a template.
  3. Place on a buttered baking tray, prick with a fork and bake at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
  4. Wash the strawberries, set some aside for decoration and cut the rest into pieces.
  5. Place strawberries in a bowl with sugar and let macerate for one hour.
  6. Blend strawberries with powdered sugar and vanilla.
  7. Whip the cream and gently fold in the strawberry purée.
  8. Spread the cream on one pastry heart, decorate edges with strawberries and cream rosettes.
  9. Cover with the second heart, dust with powdered sugar and decorate as desired.
