Ingredients

  • Haddock fillet 500 g
  • Milk 500 ml
  • Water 500 ml
  • Butter 100 g
  • Lemon 1/2
  • Fresh parsley to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Boiled potatoes (to serve)

Instructions

  1. Cut the haddock fillet into four pieces, rinse and drain.
  2. Pour the milk and an equal amount of water into a large saucepan and bring gently to a simmer.
  3. Lower the heat, keeping the surface just trembling, and add the fish pieces.
  4. Cook gently for about 10 minutes without boiling.
  5. Carefully remove the fish and place it on a well-heated serving dish.
  6. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and add the lemon juice.
  7. Pour the hot sauce over the fish.
  8. Serve with boiled potatoes, sprinkled with chopped parsley and garnished with lemon slices.
