Mascarpone Cream is a rich and velvety Italian spoon dessert made with eggs, sugar and mascarpone, enhanced with a dark chocolate variation and coffee-soaked biscuits.

Ingredients

  • Egg 1
  • Sugar 6 teaspoons
  • Mascarpone 100 g
  • Dark chocolate 50 g
  • Biscuits 2-3
  • Coffee as needed

Instructions

  1. Remove the mascarpone from the fridge and let it reach room temperature.
  2. Dip the biscuits in coffee and line the bottom and sides of a dessert cup.
  3. Whisk the egg yolk with sugar until pale and fluffy.
  4. Whip the egg white until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the egg white into the yolk mixture.
  6. Add the mascarpone and mix until smooth and creamy.
  7. Divide the cream in half and mix melted dark chocolate into one portion.
  8. Layer or separate the two creams in the cup.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour before serving.
