Ingredients

  • Chicken breast 500 g
  • Potato chips 250 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Tools

  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Rolling pin
  • Baking tray
  • Parchment paper
  • Oven

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breast into regular strips, not too thin.
  2. Lightly moisten the chicken with a little water so the coating can stick properly.
  3. Crush the potato chips with your hands or a rolling pin until you get coarse crumbs.
  4. Coat each chicken strip with the crushed chips, pressing gently so they stick on every side.
  5. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the chicken pieces on it without overlapping them.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 350°F for about 15 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and golden outside.
  7. Add salt only at the end if needed, because the chips are already flavorful.
  8. Serve immediately while hot to enjoy the best crunch.

Chef’s Tips

  • For a more stable coating, pat the chicken dry with paper towels before lightly moistening it.
  • If you want a deeper golden color, turn on the grill (broil) for the last 2 minutes, keeping a close eye on it.
  • Avoid adding too much salt before baking, since packaged chips are already quite flavorful.
  • For a more aromatic version, try using flavored chips such as paprika or rosemary.
