Ingredients

  • Whole milk 500 ml
  • Sugar 450 g
  • Pecan nuts as needed

Instructions

  1. Pour the milk into a heavy-bottomed saucepan.
  2. Add the sugar and stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Bring to a gentle boil over very low heat.
  4. Cook for about 2 hours, stirring frequently, until thick and caramel-colored.
  5. Pour the mixture into a lightly greased mold.
  6. Decorate the surface with pecan halves.
  7. Let cool completely.
  8. Cut into small squares and serve.
