total exports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In&nbsp;<strong>2025<\/strong>, exports to the UAE reached&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac9.1 billion<\/strong>, up&nbsp;<strong>18.6%<\/strong>&nbsp;compared to&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac7.7 billion in 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dubai acts as a&nbsp;<strong>major re-export hub<\/strong>, redistributing Italian goods to other Middle Eastern and Asian markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"saudi-arabia-and-kuwait-boost-industrial-demand\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Saudi Arabia and Kuwait boost industrial demand<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Saudi Arabia<\/strong>&nbsp;ranks second, with&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac6.3 billion in Italian exports<\/strong>, up&nbsp;<strong>3.7%<\/strong>&nbsp;year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile,&nbsp;<strong>Kuwait<\/strong>&nbsp;recorded the strongest growth, reaching&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac1.9 billion<\/strong>, an increase of&nbsp;<strong>57.4%<\/strong>&nbsp;compared with 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The surge was mainly driven by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>transport equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>industrial machinery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>metallurgical products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"sector-composition-of-exports\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sector composition of exports<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The leading sector remains&nbsp;<strong>industrial machinery<\/strong>, worth&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac7 billion<\/strong>, accounting for&nbsp;<strong>24.2% of total exports<\/strong>&nbsp;to the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other major sectors include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>luxury consumer goods (jewelry, leather goods, eyewear)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>transport equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>chemical and pharmaceutical products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fashion and textiles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"outlook-for-2026\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Outlook for 2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main risk for the coming year comes from rising&nbsp;<strong>geopolitical tensions in the Persian Gulf<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before the crisis, around&nbsp;<strong>40% of Italian container exports<\/strong>&nbsp;passed through the&nbsp;<strong>Hormuz-Suez corridor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shipping disruptions have increased transit times by&nbsp;<strong>10\u201314 days<\/strong>&nbsp;and pushed freight costs up by&nbsp;<strong>30\u201335%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A rapid&nbsp;<strong>de-escalation<\/strong>&nbsp;could preserve the current growth trend, while a prolonged conflict
