Ingredients

  • Eggs 3
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Vegetable oil 1 cup
  • All-purpose flour 300 g
  • Sugar 250 g
  • Unsweetened cocoa 80 g
  • Baking powder 1 packet
  • Butter and flour for the pan as needed

Instructions

  1. Combine eggs, milk, oil, flour, sugar and cocoa in a bowl.
  2. Blend with an immersion mixer until smooth and lump-free.
  3. Add baking powder only at the end and mix gently.
  4. Butter and flour a cake pan.
  5. Pour the batter and bake at 180°C (356°F) for 40–45 minutes.
  6. Check doneness with a toothpick: it should come out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool and serve dusted with powdered sugar or whipped cream.
