- Butter 200 g
- Sugar 200 g
- Egg 1
- Maple syrup 1 dl
- Ground cinnamon 2 tsp
- Ground ginger 2 tsp
- Ground cloves 1 tsp
- Grated orange zest 2 tsp
- Baking soda 2 tsp
- Water 1 dl

Instructions
- Combine butter, sugar, maple syrup, spices and orange zest in a saucepan.
- Heat gently, stirring until butter is melted, then let cool.
- Add baking soda dissolved in water, the egg and flour.
- Knead until smooth and uniform.
- Cover and rest overnight in a cool place.
- Roll the dough very thin and cut desired shapes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for 8–10 minutes.
